Last night hubby and I finally went out. We haven’t had a night out alone in over a year. That is kinda our fault as we do not really trust anyone but a few family members with our children, and we hate to have them watch them as we work all week and want to spend the time we do have with our kids. Well, last night I got a babysitter and we went out with a few friends. We had a blast. We went out to eat(I ate a huge plate of Chicken Alfredo) which is not part of my diet but was amazing and we attended the St. Pattys Day party which included a drag show. It was funny and so fun to see the guys we know dress up as women. Let me tell you they were some ugly women lol. I am not a drinker. My usual drink when I do have drinks is Captain and Diet. Well, last night I found my new love.
Cruzan Black Cherry Rum. This stuff is amazing. I mixed it with Sprite. It was like drinking black cherry soda. Delicious I must say. The night got pretty boring there, so we hopped in a cab and went to another location where I got shunned of anymore drinks. Let me say I was NOT drunk, a tiny bit buzzed yes, but drunk absolutely not. I went up to the bar after dancing away to a local band and asked for another drink. I turned to say something to my husband and my drink slid off a edge on the bar. I didn’t realize it was there and the jerk of a bartender said to me, I’m cutting you off, your slurring your words so I can no longer serve you. I was pretty shocked and so was hubby and our friends. I was the sober one of the bunch as I do not drink a lot. I was pretty shocked so we left. We had a lot of fun with friends, dancing and having a few drinks. It was a night out we both needed and enjoyed. It’s been way to long. We are going to try to go out now once a month as I think date night is something every couple needs.

Omigosh, I can't believe that happened to you! Maybe that bartender has had trouble before or been warned. That's the only thing I can think off. I mean I am enough of a klutz totally sober to knock things over. So I guess I'd have banned right along with you.
When we saw a luau in Maui there were unlimited drinks, including alcohol. It was a very romantic and expensive luau but also our honeymoon and the one activity I'd asked to do so we splurged. I drank virgin pina colada, my favorite all night. But then tripped coming out of the bathroom at the end of the night. Our waiter was nearby and picked me up off the ground, and loudy announced I swear folks this gal was my only guest drinking virgin cocktails all night. He told me he didn't want everyone thinking I was some kind of lush.
I'm so glad to hear that you got out with your hubby and friend's! It sounds like you had a great night! I had a dinner with my family tonight and it was fun since we don't see each other to often!

Nichol I would have never guessed you for a little booze hound! LOL I can't believe the bartender did that, too funny. You should have said I promise I am not drunk just maybe a little clumsy. I personally drop or trip over things all the time. I am so proud of you for going on a date night! Now please help convince me that I need to do the same thing. I am glad you had a nice time:) I did nothing this weekend, just stayed home:)
