We get take out once a week, on Fridays. I refuse to cook dinner on that day. So weather it’s Chinese, fast food, pizza or something else I always make healthy choices. No Whoppers for me. Here are some of the healthiest fast food options while eating out.
For drinks choose water, milk, 100% fruit juice, tea, or diet sodas.
Applebees- Ask your server for healthy options
Arbys- Choose any of the Market Fresh Salads, the Roast Turkey and Swiss Market Fresh sandwich or a grilled chicken sandwich. If you have to have fries stick with a small fry. There is always the Jr Roast Beef and you can get a fruit cup as well.

Subway-Possibilities are endless! I always choose Wheat or Honey Oat bread, Turkey and tons of veggies. No mayo. They have yummy soups and salads as well. The sweet onion and teriyaki is a great choice as well and choose swiss or provolone cheese.
Taco Bell- Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco, Chicken Supreme, Grilled Steak Taquitos, Grilled Steak Soft Taco, or the Chicken Gordita Baja.
Wendy’s- Jr Hamburger, Ultimate Chicken Grill, Mandarin Chicken Salad w/o noodles, Side Salads, Plain baked potato, chili, mandarin oranges or a kids fry.
When ordering salads always ask for light or fat free dressings on the side and dip your salad. You’ll save tons of calories. No croutons! Stay clear of fattening appetizers. Blimpie, Subway and Boston Market have amazing sandwiches. Do no upsize your meals. Of course there are many other choices but this is a small list of the foods that tend to be the healthiest, lower in calories and saturated fats. Enjoy eating out…don’t add all the calories if you don’t have to.
