I used to live about 4 hours from Kissimmee, the heart of Florida, which is right near Orlando Florida. On our boring weekends at home, we would just drive to the beaches, the amazing food and to visit some of the fun attractions they offer. Trust me there are so many. One of the places we visited often was Sea World. If you have ever been to Sea World you know how much fun this is for families. With the dolphins, sea lions and Shamu the whale, kids and adults enjoy visiting.
We took Gavyn when he was to young to remember, so returning to Sea World Orlando is on our to do list. He looks at photos often and is excited to visit. We won’t be retuning for a couple of years, when Zoe will be able to remember the fun had there. When we do visit again though, Discovery Cove will be a stop. This would be an under water adventure for all of us. Swimming with dolphins, snorkeling underwater with fish and rays, hand feeding all the beautiful exotic bird, and when we get tired we’ll head to the beaches to relax and build sandcastles. If dad isn’t up for a day at the beach he can always head out for a game of golf on the beautifully landscaped golf courses. Finding a place to stay won’t be difficult either. With the many hotels in the heart of Kissimmee, we will surely find one that suits are needs. Kid friendly is a must, a pool is a must, complimentary breakfasts are something we always look for and I must feel at home. The Best Western Lakeside looks like our place to stay in a few years. They offer three pools, two playgrounds, miniature golf, game room, fitness center and choice of dining outlets as well as scheduled transportation to all Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Sea World and Universal Studios and to the mall! They are also more affordable then most hotels in the area.
We never look for 5 star hotels as we just can’t afford them. This would be the perfect place for our family to wind down for the day.
Along with Sea World and Discovery Cove on our next family vacation, Universal Studios is right there as well as Disney right next door. We have never been to Disney as kids or adults, so it’s a must have stop. It’s going to be magical for our family of 4 to visit a place so beautiful, big and full of surprises. We have only ever seen photos so we cannot wait to see what Disney has in store for our family. Our trip is already in the making, and we aren’t leaving for 2 years. Kissimmee here we come!
