Guinness World Records 2011 Book Review

As a child I can remember having every single Guinness Book. They were always so fun to read, and I wanted to be in the book one day. I tried and tried to get the biggest bubble, because I was a great bubble gum blower. After that failed, I began thinking of other challenges to do to see my name in the book. After realizing I’d never beat any of these record breakers, I continued to read. Some of these things just amaze me, while others are completely disgusting(longest finger and toenails) YUCK! But you will learn some great facts as well, about space, the Earth, to the great men and women in sports.

The Guinness World Records 2011 book is a must have for the stockings this year. Gavyn has sat for hours reading this book, while laughing completely out loud at some of the funny records. He thought the man with the most straws in his mouth was pretty wacky(I would never attempt this) as well as the boy balancing the most spoons on his face.  Don’t forget you’ll find completely crazy as well(Wei Shengchu earned the title for “Most Needles in the Head” when he had 2,009 needles stuck into his skull). Seriously, why even attempt this. But he made his way into the book which is always what I wanted to do, not by sticking needles in my head though.

Of course you will find lots of wackiness and weirdness(who collects 1,331 bars of soap) in the book along with some interesting things. Ever see a dog stand at 43 inches tall? If not you must purchase this to see the adorable Great Dane, Giant George, who is owned here in the US.  This is just a few of the 4,000 new and updated records you will find.

A book that is loved by so many for so many years, since it’s first publication in 1955.  It gives hours and hours of fun reading enjoyment for the entire family.   With it’s holographic flame effect on the front cover, it’s a book you can’t just walk past.  And after opening up the front page you turn to no other than fire, to match this hard covered book.  With this best selling book you will find 100% updated photographs, as well as city by city records, quizzes and trivia, the special American section and so much more.
