My dear grandma, was a wonderful lady, yes I miss her dearly for so many reasons. Every holiday I seem to miss her more and more. Having the family together, her amazing cooking, and hilarious jokes she told, and the holiday appetizers were something I’ll never forget. Food was strewn on the tables, from mouthwatering home baked cookies and cakes, scrumptious home baked breads, and a brand I’ll never forget, Swiss Colony. It didn’t matter if it was Thanksgiving, Christmas, one of our birthdays, or just a typical day out of the year, you would find trays with an assortment of treats from the delicious brand.
Swiss Colony which began in 1926 in Wisconsin, is a family owned company selling numerous products including cheese and meats, nuts, cakes, candy and chocolate, even clothing. It is one of the biggest direct marketers here in the US, and I can see why.
So back to all the goodies my grandma always had. A favorite of all of my relatives including myself were Petits Fours. If you have never had Petits Fours from Swiss Colony you are really missing out on delectable bite sized cakes which always have you coming back for more. You will never be able to eat just one that is how excellent we find them. Whether your teeth sink into chocolate, vanilla, red velvet or a carrot cake, you’ll know one thing. The cakes are fresh, moist, and absolutely out of this world. Inside you will find layers of butter cream while the outside is encrusted with their Swiss blend of chocolate or Swiss crème then added with a beautiful decoration which is hand written. They truly are the best thing. I can ALWAYS count on my family members having goodies from Swiss Colony, because my grandma really made Swiss Colony Petits Fours a tradition in our family, especially during the holidays.
Check out the great Be My Valentine Petits Fours, which would be a fabulous chocolate Valentine gift. We women adore our chocolate and with this affordable gift you get 36 scrumptious cakes to devour!
“A tradition for over four decades—each moist treat is layered with butter crème and blanketed in our Swiss blend chocolate or Swiss crème. Hand-lettered and decorated.” Swiss Colony has many treats for Valentine’s Day, that men and women would enjoy. Pretzels, red velvet cheesecake, or how about a mailbox full of candy. Swiss Colony is not just for holidays though. You can get amazing birthday treats as well. While visiting Swiss Colony don’t forget to check out their specials for more savings.
