Olive Nation Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla Beans Review

Olive NationI’ve had a passion for cooking for many many years now.  It actually started as a young child, helping my mom in the kitchen, asking a million questions, and watching her every move.  Not only in the kitchen but in the grocery store.  She would give me the low down on all the best ingredients, which were not so great, why you use them, which seasonings were best, and so on.  She is my cooking idol, and has taught me so much throughout the years.  Although, I use recipes I make them my own, and change them up quite a bit.  The one thing I have learned in my years of cooking, and “trying” to bake is products are not the same.  You can definitely tell a difference in the flavors of foods, if the product isn’t high quality.  High quality doesn’t mean “expensive”.  I have purchased many seasonings, spices, oils, and sauces which didn’t cost an arm and a leg, but still had amazing flavors.  Since venturing into baking I wanted to find a place to buy vanilla beans to make pudding, frosting and cupcakes and other baked goods.  I’m practicing for Zoe’s birthday party in a couple weeks, which I’ll be making the cupcakes again this year.  I’ve tried vanilla beans in the past and loved them, the price not so much.  However, the quality is not the same of those at Olive Nation.  Olive Nation is a company that provides the finest, purest and superior ingredients at prices we can afford.

We love really good food. Food that is simple and pure. Food that is made from the highest quality ingredients that we know you can trust. Food that tastes great! From our family farm in Italy and after our years of travel (35 countries & 45 US states), we have experienced what the best foods are all about: the best food starts with the best ingredients – ingredients which are wholesome, carefully cultivated… and truly healthy, without harmful additives.

Olive Nation Madagascar Vanilla BeansWhen the Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla Beans arrived at my home, I could smell them instantly. If you have never used vanilla beans you are really missing out on pure taste. These are moist, oily on the outside, and have tiny “caviar” like beans inside the pod.

And please, please do not throw away the pod. This is such a waste. You can put them in sugar for vanilla flavored sugar which is absolutely delicious and Olive Nation says once your sugar is made you can grind them up and add to coffee beans for vanilla flavored coffee. I cannot wait to try that, yum! So anyways, the  Vanilla Beans, Pure Vanilla Extracts and Vanilla Powder from Olive Nation come straight from the islands of Madagascar and are all the “Bourbon” variety.  The Bourbon Vanilla Beans were bursting with flavor, smooth, not dry, and had a wonderful aroma and made my cupcakes taste amazing. I’ve mentioned how much I love vanilla but vanilla bean, and the black specks are something I love more.

Olive Nation carries a wide range of products from pastas, to cheese, fish, extracts, gluten free foods and coffee to name a few. You won’t want to miss the authentic Italian recipes they offer as well. Olive Nation also ships items the same day if your order is in before noon, and prices are affordable. I cannot wait to try more products from Olive Nation, and my list seems to be growing day by day. I’m thrilled to have found this site!
