Since becoming a mom I have developed quite an obsession with germs. I don’t like them and know they are all around us. Teaching my children about germs is not a simple task, since you cannot see them. I reinforce how important it is to wash hands before eating, after using the bathroom, after coughing, sneezing or blowing their noses or when we get home from a public location. Our car has hand sanitizer for use when soap and water is not available and I do have an alcohol free sanitizer for our children, but before I knew there were hand sanitizers for kids, I used my alcohol based sanitizer on their sensitive hands. I never thought about them putting their hands in their mouths after using or the high alcohol content damaging their skin.

I love that there is no alcohol included making this safe for our children. Instead of alcohol, Benzalkonium Chloride (an antimicrobial) is used. Once children pump a small amount into their hands, it foams and you may notice the foam has a slight tangerine scent. 
I have tried the product several times and it does feel a little bit like water once rubbed in, however it dries quickly and hands feel clean and moisturized and most of all do not dry out. This is a huge plus for me. This is not sticky and has no oily residue like many alcohol-based sanitizers. Better yet, if children have a tiny cut on their tiny hands or fingers, they won’t scream from discomfort from the hand sanitizer burning. I wish our preschools would use a product like this for kids. It still amazes me they have huge bottles of alcohol based sanitizer for our young children. 
I have to give a big two thumbs up to BabyGanics for making products I don’t have to worry about. If this is left on a counter or table by accident my children will not be harmed as products are non-toxic if used as directed. If you are still worried “natural” products are too expensive and you can’t afford them, I have to say BabyGanics is very reasonable in prices.
