Many people I know skip breakfast saying they don’t have time to eat. This is how I used to be years ago, until I understood that breakfast was the most vital meal of the day. I try to eat filling meals including protein packed smoothies, egg white omelets with loads of veggies or a filling bowl of cereal with fruit. Oatmeal is a meal I have always enjoyed as it is extremely filling and satisfying due to the soluble fiber, low in fat, it’s nutritious and offers many health benefits including lowering cholesterol. I am not talking about flavored instant packets which are filled with sugar; not good.
This blueberry oatmeal recipe is one I eat often. It takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and you can eat it while getting ready in the morning. I highly recommend high quality oats such as Tropical Traditions Organic Whole Grain Rolled Oats , but any thick rolled oats will do. Enjoy this filling, low fat, protein packed oatmeal to start your day off right!
