My Little Pony has been a lifelong favorite of mine. As a child I watched it on TV daily, had almost every pony available and now Zoe is taking a liking to the ponies as well. We were thrilled to receive a copy of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: The Friendship Express
My Little Pony Friendship is Magic DVD by Shout! Factory includes 5 episodes with the first two Friendship is Magic, Part 1 and Friendship Is Magic, Part 2. In the episodes, the ponies feel Twilight Sparkle is more interested in her books then friends. Princess Celestial (ruler of the land of Equestria) sends Twilight to Ponyville, where she meets Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie so she can learn the importance of friendship.
In the movie Nightmare Moon appears and is vowing eternal night making Princess Celestial disappear. The ponies are on a quest to make sure eternal night is not going to happen, so they set out on an adventure to find the Elements of Harmony and to stop Nightmare Moon. They head out in the forest to find the last known place of the elements; ancient castle. Danger looms and the friends stick together. Will the ponies find the five known elements? Twilight realizes that each pony represents the elements and realizes she is the 6th element which was never found. Will they get daylight back?
There are three additional episodes Over A Barrel (will the ponies escape the heard of Buffalo), Hearth’s Warming Eve and The Last Roundup as well as bonus features including a sing-along, meeting the ponies, a coloring sheet and the debut episode from the all-new Pound Puppies TV series; Yipper Caper.
