Residing in Southwestern NY definitely has its perks.  We live near various lovely attractions here in NY including scenic Alleghany State Park, amazing Niagara Falls, Lake Erie Wine Country consisting of over 20 wineries, historic Chautauqua Institution and much more.  Although, local events are appealing, we live along the border of Pennsylvania often heading west to Erie for shopping, restaurants and fun.  The kids enjoy places such as Splash Lagoon, Chuck E. Cheese’s and Waldameer Park.  With that being said, we have been planning a small family road trip this year so we will be packing up and traveling a bit south on a Kidsylvania road trip with the help of pa-roadtrips.

Going on a three day two night trip to PA is ideal for us.  At only about 3 hours south, we can explore destinations such as the Johnstown Children’s Museum with the hands on exhibits, the heritage discovery center and Old Bedford Village so the children can learn more about America’s history with military and civilian reenactments.  And while learning while on a family vacation we would definitely take a few hours to visit the fun Slinky Action Zone, for some food and of course games!  This sounds like an informative road trip with lots of enjoyable things planned out.  From the attractions, accommodations and dining, everything is right there for us. We would take some much needed rest at a Comfort Inn that offers a complimentary breakfast, indoor swimming pool and hot tub before our next day trip to explore more.  But that is not all, because with our roadtrips arranged we get more by checking out “worthy detours” that are right there on our trip.

Considering a road trip can be stressful especially with young children.  But with the Roadtrip-a-Matic families can now plan their Pennsylvania destination with ease.  There is so much to do in Pennsylvania with so much history.  If you have wanted to take a trip to Pennsylvania now would be the ideal time to prepare.  Looking for a shopping getaway?  How about a back road trip exploring all the back roads? A great way to break up a long road trip with your family is to stay in a vacation rental. After a long day of biking and wildlife spotting, places like these Poconos cabin rentals, for instance, are a great place to unwind and rest. Whatever it is, Roadtrip-a-Matic can help arrange your perfect getaway with the entire family or a loved one.

  1. Anything kid friendly would be at the top of my list to visit! And traveling by car is the only way I’ll travel with two young kids so road trip ideas are perfect during this season of my life.
