School will be arriving in less than one month here for our area. We have been actively stocking up on school supplies, back to school clothing and other essentials needed for the first day of school. I’m the mom who packs my children’s lunches. I rather them have nutritious meals from home rather than eating the provided lunches by the school, so having high quality lunch box and containers is essential, not only for my oldest but for my husband as well. We have found a clever solution to a perfectly packed lunch; Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit.
The LunchBlox containers are plastic food storage containers that arrive with a sandwich container, blue ice pack, a side container and two snack containers, complete with lids.
The kit is genius because like most Rubbermaid food storage containers, these all lock to each other. The kit stacks with the freezable ice pack going under or between containers to keep food cold while on-the-go. Not only is this ideal for kids or adults lunches, they are brilliant for traveling in the car. The sandwich container works well for sandwiches with bread, rolls or wraps or a salad, plus the smaller containers can hold the dressing.
Because I make homemade pudding and Jell-O I will now save money as I will not need to purchase single pudding cups or Jell-O for my son to take to school. The small snack containers are .5 cup capacity making portion control simple. Add in fruits, vegetables, a serving of peanut butter for celery or anything else. The lids stay sealed; you can even hold them upside down without the containers dropping…or leaking!
I love how they stack making them compact and saving our earth from all the plastic baggies we’d typically use to pack food in. They fit well in a lunch box, are durable and parents will be thrilled to know they are BPA-Free, dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe. The containers are trouble-free for children using them and food stays fresh.
I would highly recommend purchasing the affordable LunchBlox kits to anyone, plus you can purchase additional individual containers if you need more or just purchase an additional set for others in your family.
LunchBlox kits are currently available at Rubbermaid.com , Amazon, Target, Kmart, Kroger, Safeway, Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, HEB, WalMart and other stores.
