I was a daycare provider for many years, so had to have comfortable seating for the kids. During circle time, story time, movie time and just to relax, bean bag chair furniture provided that comfort for kids of all ages even adults. Before letting the kids sit and run and jump on it I checked it out. The yellow polka dot is a 100% cotton cover which unzips to remove for easy washing. This is fabulous. I’ve owned many bean bag chairs without covers and had to spot treat them when they got something on them, so being able to wash the cover is brilliant.
Once you unzip you’ll notice another bag which is filled with the filling. This bag is an extremely strong, water-repellent microfiber cover that has a child-resistant zipper so kids cannot open. Love that this feature has been added. I’m an adult and had no clue how to open it. You just insert a paperclip into the zipper head which is hidden under a piece of fabric and pull the zip to open. AHH! uses two types of bean bag chair filling; Virgin, BB-sized polystyrene (Styrofoam) pellets and reground, “pre-consumer recycled” that is never pre-used. Reground is more affordable. AHH! likes to use reground for their bags because it is better for the environment and they also polled customers who chose reground over virgin beads as well.
The kids love their new bean bag chair. It is full really full when it arrives but does get a bit more comfortable after use or kids jumping on it. The bag conforms to the body, holding you up for a comfy place to sit. The bag is high quality with hidden seams and the microfiber cover allows water to bead up if a spill happens.
You can choose the size of you bean bag from up to 4 sizes small-giant, choose your cover and buy new covers to change out at any time. They can do custom orders, and add names. Possibilities are endless. I am very pleased with our AHH! Bean bag chair. Everyone who comes over has to sit it in. They are perfect for video game playing children as well. Now that is a cool looking bean bag chair! I have a couple of bean bag chairs that I got at Target probably 6 or 7 years ago and my boys love them. As for me, I am getting too old to get in and out of them as easily as I used to.
Some are pretty stuffed when they’re new, aren’t they? I’ve actually had to remove pellets a few times to make them more comfy! But I love that feature where it’s tricky to get inside!
