Zoe and I enjoy our daily Just Dance fix. It gets us moving, provides one-on-one mother daughter time and is much fun to dance together. We recently reviewed Just Dance 4 which happens to be our favorite right now, so when Just Dance Disney Party arrived Zoe was thrilled because this Wii video game is specifically for children especially those who love all things Disney.
Just Dance: Disney Party is similar to other Just Dance games however this game offers fun songs from current Disney shows and Disney movies we all recognize.
The main menu will show a dance or parents logo. Dance allows you to choose from several game plays including songs, playlists, non-stop shuffle or to choose a song. Parents menu allows parents to check out play trackers, progress, medals, health tips, credits and options.
For dancing, dancers can choose from 25 original songs, most familiar some not so much. Zoe’s favorites were modern songs she knew from her favorite Disney Channel shows such as Hang In There Baby (Good Luck Charlie), Jessie Theme Song and Shake It Up.
My choice of songs included Under The Sea, Be Our Guest and The Bare Necessities. Choose a song and begin performing the dances to the songs by imitating the on-screen dancers, sing too as lyrics are on the big screen. Points are administered for how accurate you dance. Players can also choose from already created playlists which include Disney Channel songs, classic, modern and dance workout as well as creating their own. There is also non-stop shuffle where songs are continuous for non-stop dancing fun.
There are also modes in the game that players can choose. Team up together to try for high scores, freeze & shake and balloon pop. Freeze & Shake is a fun mode where players watch for the stop icon appear on screen. When this appears stop moving the Wii remote and resume dancing when the shake icon appears. Carefully watch or points will be lost. This is a great mode teaching children cooperation. Also in Balloon Pop dancers need to dance to inflate a balloon. When it pops, grab your star to earn points. Zoe adores this mode!
Just Dance Disney Party is a lot of fun for kids. Zoe likes to try to earn gold moves to score high points plus loves that she appears to be on her favorite shows with the effects of performing on the stage or under water! I like that I can track progression and stats and create playlists for her. Also up to 4 people can dance together for a fun evening of family game night. A family-friendly game everyone is sure to enjoy!

Freeze & Shake and Balloon Pop sound like a blast!!!!
Oh boy the boys would love this!!!!
so fun! The room we have our Wii in right now doesn’t have the space to do any dance games, but I’d like the music in this one that’s for sure!
I love the same songs (from the Little Mermaid!) and I would LOVE to dance and bop around with little man, how fun!
That has some awesome songs on it. I am pretty sure I’d like it more than the kids LOL.
