Zoe and I cleaned out her dresser and closest a few weekends ago, and I was rather sad at how many of her clothing items went to the donation box because she has grown out of them. We began chatting about going spring clothes and shoe shopping which always makes her grin from ear to ear. Just like her mama! She went on to tell me that she needs sandals, flip flops a cute pair of boots, new spring sneakers, shorts, capris and cute shirts with glitter and sparkles. She was not kidding either. Her school shoes are now hurting her toes, her capris no longer button comfortably and her tops look like belly shirts. So a definite shopping trip is in our future before the spring season arrives. Umi Shoes has helped this year with their 2013 spring shoes collection which are brimming with bold colors of orange, pink, blue and greens with flower adornments, polka dots and many styles ideal for the warmer spring weather we will be welcoming.
If you are not familiar with Umi Shoes, they are the makers of high quality shoes for babies and kids, using non-toxic materials, quality leathers and materials that are built to last for our rough and tumble children. Zoe browsed the new collections that are currently available and fell absolutely in love with the Morie D (ii) but then discovered the bright blue, high-top sneaker embellished with a flower and cool stitching. The Quin Ii is absolutely stunning and will make your child feel like a star.
They look similar to the very popular Chuck Taylors brand, with the entire sneaker a lively blue, neon green tongue, lace hoops and tread, neon pink laces all adorned with a floral embellishment with stitching around the flower. Zoe was oohing and ahhing the moment I handed them to her. They are not a style of shoe she has ever shown interest in, so I was surprised she chose them, however we admire the ankle support they provide and the impressive treading on the shoe. The tread has plenty of grooves for great traction which is needed for children.
The first day she wore them to gym, she says they weren’t slippery and she didn’t slide in the halls when her feet were wet from the snow. Love the gripping the rubber outsoles offer! The canvas of the shoe is flexible, so her feet can breathe and her foot can still move, yet giving her support to her heels. But most of all these are comfortable! She can wear them casually daily, without saying her feet hurt, they are functional and durable.
Because, we love Umi Shoes, and know they make their shoes with children in mind, I know as a parent my child has a shoe that is built to fit her feet as comfortable as possible. They make their shoes with the need’s of a growing child’s foot. Though more costly than many would want to pay for a pair of shoes for a child (shipping is free in lower 48), they are well-worth it and more.
At Umi Shoes, you’ll find unique footwear, in an array of colors and styles for every occasion. Their great-looking shoes will last! This spring head on over to Umi Shoes, for strappy sandals, adorable maryjane style shoes, sneakers, moccasins and more. The fashionable Quin Ii will be admired by all who see them. They retail for $45.00. Umi also cares about the earth. Shoes are protected in recycled packaging! Keep in mind that Umi Shoes uses European measurements, so please print out the little ruler and measure your child’s foot first. Umi shoes do run a bit big, giving your child’s feet room to grow!
