I was provided a wonderful complimentary gift basket with everything needed to create the Ultimate Party Meatballs, all opinions 100% my own.
Since purchasing our home over four years ago, we’ve become the party home. Whether we have people over enjoying a cookout or pool party in the warmer months, or family game and movie night when it is colder, our home is always filled with people and kids. Inviting family and friends over is a joy for me. Usually my brother and his family will head over as well as my best friend and her family.
This past weekend was our weekly family movie night. We sat and watched Monsters University (must-watch!), but before the movie began, we enjoyed a few appetizer type snacks. While I would love to serve all healthy, not everyone is up to par on the healthy eating so I make treats everyone will enjoy. Like the Ultimate Party Meatballs. A simple recipe with three, yes only three ingredients, perfect for last minute get-togethers, football game day or a quick meal.
Ultimate Party Meatballs Recipe
You can prepare these in a saucepan or slow cooker. I’m going to give you stove-top directions
1. Combine sauces in large saucepan over medium/low heat
These meatballs were a no-fuss appetizer or for us a meal as my kids really wanted elbow macaroni with theirs. They were tangy from the chili sauce, sweet from the cranberry sauce and delivered a fresh pork taste from the meatballs with no MSG, artificial colors or flavors.
The meatballs were a very good size for a frozen meatball!
The kids enjoyed this quick fix meal with a salad prior to the meal and I enjoyed preparing it as it was simple and quick. Our friends enjoyed them right off the toothpick!
Meatballs make a great appetizer for gatherings and can be made into a complete meal by adding over noodles, couscous or rice, added to a hoagie for a meatball sub, added to a stick with peppers and onions for a simple kebob and an array of other ways. You can even dress them up with spices! I kept mine a bit healthier with a spinach salad over whole wheat couscous:)
Do you ever make appetizer style meatballs for your gatherings?
