If you have children that are mesmerized with Mario and building with K’NEX building sets, then the K’NEX Ghost House Building Set is a perfect gift idea this holiday season. Based on the hit Nintendo 3DS game; Super Mario 3D Land, this building set features 518 pieces that will have children building a fun and exciting playset once finished.
K’NEX Nintendo Super Mario 3D Land Ghost House Building Set
The kids were so excited about this K’NEX set. The set looks remarkable just from the image on the box itself, so they couldn’t wait to build. Though there are many pieces, it wasn’t as challenging as we would have thought. This set has several different levels of game play to bring Mario to life right in the comfort of your home.
This set is rather large as well, so build in an open area and find a place to keep it when not in play or if you won’t complete building in one day. The set include the new jump disk and launcher, boos, coins, pop-up flag, buildable Boomerang Mario and fun action props. When fully constructed, this is a playable set where children can move their Mario to the front opening of the haunted house and walks through the obstacle course to make his way to the flag.
Right when Mario walks through the front doors that really open and close, there is a jump launcher to collect coins.
Be cautious as Mario walks through the back floor, as spinning boos (that spin from gears made) are awaiting to overtake Mario, so he can’t make it to the finish.
Children enjoy cooperative play with this set, as one child will spin the ghosts, while the other is playing with Mario. The set has a roof as well as sliding platforms to avoid the ghosts.
Best of all this set can be customized any way a child likes by adding additional K’NEX Super Mario building sets for even bigger adventures such as the Prongo building set.
We have built many K’NEX sets, and I have to say we were all impressed with the Ghost House. The set is appealing and kids love it. The kids loved using the moving panels to avoid the ghosts and liked moving the coins for a different setup. This set had the kids engaged the entire time.
