The last few weeks have been a real difficult time. I injured my knee back in February, so have been in physical therapy twice a week for treatment. My therapist told me last week he would like further diagnostic testing; an MRI. Not news I wanted to hear because I’m not wanting anymore medical bills.
But here we are and I have no choice unless I refuse to have an MRI and deal with pain for the rest of my life, no thanks.
So, I started to look at my bills to see how I could save money and I knew there had to be a way to save money on our cell phone bill.
I’ve been seeing ads on the TV for the new AT&T mobile share value plans and wanted to find out more about those plans or if we were eligible.
I called a rep who went over our current cell phone plan and discussed the mobile share value plans. If you are not aware, the AT&T mobile share value plan is a new way for families to save money, on up to 10 devices.
The plan we previously had was mobile share 4 GB with unlimited talk and text. We have been paying over $170.00 per month on two smartphones.
Crazy, however I have been an AT&T customer since they were Cingular Wireless and have loved them for this many years, so needed to find a solution, so I didn’t have to switch carriers. I just did not want the price anymore.
The rep explained that if we stayed with our current plan she could place us on the value pricing plan which would be $120. That’s good, savings of $50. But I asked what our average data usage is because we make sure we are always on WiFi, so I knew we weren’t using much. She said we barely hit 1 GB, so she suggested we drop our plan to the 2GB value plan for $90 per month. Even better, savings of $80+ per month, just on one bill!
Definitely make the call if you are an AT&T customer. Talk to them about your current plan and how you can save with one of their mobile share value plans. Also, ask about your data and what you average. If you have say 8GB of data but only average 4GB, you can save even more money.
