When I quit drinking soda and juice at the beginning of 2013, I thought my drinking days would turn to a boring water fest flavored with lemon. I was wrong. Keeping myself hydrated with fruit infused waters, smoothies and better for you drinks has been amazing. I was once addicted to a very popular zero calorie flavored water but learned it wasn’t healthy for me like I once thought. That’s when I began making my own flavored waters with lemons, citrus and other fruits.
I’m always pleased to learn of new companies and one of those companies I recently learned about is Bai5. Bai5 is an all-natural beverage infused with superfruits! Each antioxidant filled beverage contains only 5 calories per serving, 1 gram of sugar and are gluten-free.
But what I found most interesting is Bai5 beverages use the superfruit; coffeefruit. Coffeefruit, according to the Bai5 website is:
We’d like to introduce you to coffeefruits’ outside, the juicy red protector of the coffee bean that we call superfruit. The antioxidant-rich fruit may have coffee in its name but each one is a free-radical fighting powerhouse that delivers refreshing, pure fruit flavor!
See very fascinating stuff. I had no clue about coffeefruit, just the bean which gets me going every single morning and late in the afternoon.
Every drink is naturally sweetened with organic stevia and Erythritol and uses only filtered water. And you’ll find no caramel color in Bai5 beverages. The ingredient label makes this mama happy, feeling no guilt when I take a sip or two or three. Who am I kidding, I downed the entire bottle, they are that good.
I received Molokai Coconut, Ipanema Pomegranate and Brasilia Blueberry. Of these flavors the blueberry was by far my favorite, followed by the pomegranate and coconut. I enjoy coconut water but there is only one brand I have found that I actually like so I decided to whip up the perfect no-fat summer drink with Bai5 Molokai Coconut beverage. Coconut Watermelon Slush.
Slushies (homemade of course) are one of my preferences to drink in the summer, especially with the humidity New York State has been having. They not only cool me down but quench my thirst and sweet tooth. Isn’t this one so pretty and pink!
Bai5 drinks are ideal for my active lifestyle giving me a boost of energy and flavor when needed pre or post workout. Instead of boring water on my walks/jogs, Bai5 is in hand. There is no unpleasant aftertaste and they taste real!
Bai5 comes in 10 delicious flavors and are gluten-free, low-glycemic, Kosher, vegan, GMO free and soy-free!
