“I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Nutrish for Cats. I received a sample of Nutrish for Cats to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.”
As a pet parent, I find it overwhelming visiting the pet aisle at the grocery or the pet store. There are so many brands of toys, food and treats I just don’t know what is best for my pet. A few months ago my eldest cat had an annual exam and we were told to switch her food to help with her weight issues. She’s overweight, I know that, but having two younger cats under the age of two, switching food isn’t the easiest. My vet recommended a brand but that was a no-go. None of the cats would touch it, so I continued to use the food they were accustomed to.
Then, I heard about Rachael Ray Nutrish for Cats.
I love watching Rachael Ray and creating her recipes so was excited about this line of healthy cat food. Nutrish for Cats is natural food for cats with wet & dry food with real meat like chicken or fish as the #1 ingredient. This is extremely important to me as my cats are part of my family. I eat clean foods so my pets should eat as healthy as possible as well. Nutrish for Cats doesn’t have junk like meat poultry by-product meal, artificial flavors or preservatives. A HUGE plus to me.
We received Real Salmon and Brown Rice dry cat food and Chicken Purrcata, Ocean Fish-a-Licious and Paw Lickin’ Chicken and Liver natural wet cat food to try. I gradually switched their food over a four day period. When this arrived, I had one very curious cat.
Rachael Ray Nutrish Natural Cat Food Real Salmon & Brown Rice
This food is much different than the cat food my cats currently eat. Real salmon is the #1 ingredient combined with wholesome brown rice. Unfortunately, the #1 ingredient in the current food we use is chicken by-product meal, which breaks my heart as I thought the brand I currently purchase was a “premium” cat food. This goes to show that you need to look at ingredient labels for your four-legged children as well. This cat food also features essential amino acids, wholesome fiber and healthy carbohydrates. My cats seemed to enjoy the smaller kibble, gobbling it each meal. Callie, doesn’t like change but has shown that this must be tasty because she took to it immediately.
Rachael Ray Natural Wet Cat Food
Wet cat food is a treat for my cats. They do not get this daily, instead weekly. Tuna flavor and chicken are always a huge hit so I knew without a doubt chicken purrcata would be loved by all. What I like about these are the food looks real, not mush like most canned cat foods. Chicken and fish are the #1 ingredients, with nothing artificial. I also appreciate the plastic container, simple for feeding the cats without messing another dish. I’ll definitely be buying these for my cats. They all wanted the chicken and enjoyed the ocean variety. Unfortunately, the chicken & liver sat untouched. That doesn’t surprise me though since chicken, tuna and ocean flavors are all I purchase.
I’m going to continue purchasing Rachael Ray Nutrish for my cats. I haven’t noticed any changes in their behavior, bathroom habits or Callie’s weight, but I’ll continue to monitor. Callie was camera shy, but I was finally able to snap a picture of her during meal time (she eats alone without the baby kitties).
While my kitties enjoyed their delicious new cat food, my family enjoyed a real chicken meal as well. Slow cooker shredded chicken wing sandwiches. Slow cooked chicken breasts with chicken wing flavors, topped on a hearty wheat roll with cheese!
