I received free Lärabar product in exchange for my unbiased review 🙂
First let me say, as I am typing my review after taste testing the Lärabar products with my daughter earlier today, I am actually eating the banana bread Lärabar half leftover from our review earlier in the day! I had not even closed the package, it was still laying on my counter and I was hungry so boom, eating it. And it is still moist and yummy, LOL.
Yes, there are actually tasty healthy treats that help satisfy my late night desires for something sweet and yummy after putting my kids to bed! So score for Lärabar there, and me, because I did NOT eat all their Halloween candy tonight even though it is November 1!
This brings me to another awesome aspect of the company; their commitment to real good food that is super convenient! Lärabar is committed to making good REAL food, like nuts and fruit, convenient and tasty!
So my late night snack tonight isn’t going to make me regret my indulgence in the morning! Mommy high five there! It is like they made the perfect food for both my super tired Mommy side who does not have the energy to cook a meal from scratch every hour for my hungry kids and the intellectual Mommy side of me that only wants to feed my children healthy delicious foods, like fruits and nuts! Even better, they actually taste good! My daughter and I each had our own favorites, she liked the chocolate coconut chew and chocolate macaroon chews best while my favorites were the banana bread bar and cherry chocolate chews.
There were three kinds of products we were sent to try; the Lärabar Bites, the Lärabar Organic with Superfoods, and the Lärabar. Of the three kinds of products sent, my daughter LOVED the Bites best, especially the Coconut Macaroon flavor! She wanted to just keep eating them, and while the serving is 4 of the coconut flour encrusted balls, she would have eaten the whole bag if I had let her!
My personal flavor favorite of the Bites was the Cherry Chocolate. I could definitely see my family bringing the Bites with us on family outings, with us hiking, and even packing in school lunches! The Bites are delicious fun morsels you can feel good eating because the are made from minimal ingredients, are gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, kosher, and even use fair trade chocolate chips! A bag of Bites has a suggested retail value of $5.59, and based off how well my daughter enjoyed them, I would say they are definitely worth it!
Our least enjoyed product is the Lärabar Organic with Superfoods. To be fair, they have 3 flavors of this bar, and we only tried the Coconut, Kale, and Cacao bar. It is possible if we had tried a different flavor, we may have enjoyed this bar more. These bars have the same soft, slightly chewy, with nutty crunchies feel as the Lärabars, however, my girly and I both decided it is not a bar we would repeat eating. Especially when there are the options like the Bites and the classic Lärabars, which we really enjoyed a lot more than this particular bar.
We received 5 flavors of the classic Lärabar. These bars are great. My daughter loved the Bites best, but I also love the convenience of the bar portions. My favorite flavor is the banana bread flavor. You can smell the banana bread scent before eating the bar and it has that nice moist chewiness to it! I definitely would get this bar again! The suggested retail price of the Lärabars is $1.59 per bar, right where other granola type bars are in my area and I really like that Lärabars use minimal processing and their first ingredient is a fruit (dates) in their products instead of sugared and hydrogenated packed ick some snack bars or, gulp, candy bars are made with.
Overall, we definitely enjoyed the Lärabars and I highly recommend trying them! They are a convenient, healthy option you can feel good about for yourself and your children without feeling like you are sacrificing taste!
Have you tried Lärabar products? What do you think? What is your favorite healthy convenience snack?
