“I have Pediatric Cancer” is a statement that no child should ever have to say. As a parent, we all dream of our children living healthy and full lives and becoming adults and then watching them have grandchildren. Unfortunately there are families whose lives are being turned upside down each year due to their children being diagnosed with Cancer. Over 10,000 children, under the age of 15, are diagnosed with Pediatric Cancer each year.
I’d like to present Hope to you.
Extended Stay America recently launched a new program called #GiveHope to help children who have Pediatric Cancer.
Hope is an adorable bear who is a cuddly symbol of comfort and kindness. Through the support of Extended Stay America’s guests, they are committed to providing 10,000 Hope bear to children’s hospitals through America. Their simple goal is to bring a smile to the face of a child battling Cancer.
Since 2013, Extended Stay America has donated over 85,000 FREE or deeply discounted rooms to the American Cancer Society® for patients receiving treatment away from home. And now, in an effort to bring awareness to childhood cancer, they’re expanding on this great partnership with the launch of Hope, the teddy bear. Extended Stay America – through the support of their guests – has committed to providing 5,000 Hope bears to children’s hospitals throughout America with the simple goal of bringing a smile to the face of a child battling cancer.
Starting in September 2017, Extended Stay America, working with the American Cancer Society®, will provide bears to children’s hospitals nationwide.
There are two ways that you can #GIVEHOPE:
1. For just $10, a Hope Bear can be delivered to a child battling cancer AND a life-size Hope Bear mascot will also interact with the child.
2. For just $19.99, you can purchase a Hope Bear for yourself or loved one. Hope can ordered and delivered right to your door. Extended Stay America will donate $5.00 to the American Caner Society for pediatric cancer research for each bear purchased.
In 2013, Extended Stay America started this cause with their program called, “Hotel Keys of Hope”. With this program, they along with the American Cancer society, provides hotel stays that are free or deeply discounted to Cancer patients and their families who are traveling away from home for treatments that their children need. To date, over 12,000 Cancer patients get access to treatment and over 85,000 hotel rooms have been donated.
