Berry Apple Protein Smoothie Recipe

ripe blackberries

It was a great day this week as my many of my blackberries finally ripened!  When we moved here I was ecstatic to learn that my neighbors let their blackberry bush get out of control and we were blessed with several in our yard.  It is blackberry heaven here in the summer time as the bushes produce a ton of fruit, perfect for cobblers, smoothies, fruit desserts, topped on oatmeal and so much more.  Free blackberries, nothing beats that!
