I know you probably just said what do Bonjour and Hola have to do with Easter?? Well they actually have a lot to do with Easter! Easter Baskets that is!
First Words is the newest series by Lonely Planet Kids ! In this series, they are releasing First Words: French, First Words: Spanish and First Words: English!
The books make learning a new language fun! Inside each book are 100 words fun for the whole family! Did you take language classes in school? Have you kept up with the language? If not, this will be a great refresher for you!
My oldest daughter is in high school and is taking French. She has been going through the First Words: French book with her sister. It’s really neat watching them work their way through the book and hearing my 6 yr old say words in French.
I took two years of Spanish in high school, many many years ago. It’s been really neat going through the First Words: Spanish book with my youngest and seeing what was actually stored in the recesses of my mind!
Besides the illustrations that catch little readers eyes, they can also access a free audio pronunciation guide on www.lonelyplanet.com/kids/first-words for each book.
With Easter being right around the corner, this would be a great addition to your little ones Easter baskets then one or all of the First Words books by Lonely Planet Kids!
